She shared a collage of actors who have played Kara Zor-El over the years and motivated Alcock by saying she would do an “amazing” job as the iconic comic-book character. Slater captioned the photo, “Congratulations to the luminous Milly Alcock, the next Supergirl! The DC universe awaits you! You will be AMAZING!!” Apart from Slater and Alcock, the collage included photos of Laura Vandervoort, Melissa Benoist, and Sasha Calle in their Supergirl costumes. Initially, when Alcock was chosen to portray Kara, reports suggested that Supergirl would debut in Gunn’s DC Universe through the movieSuperman: Legacy. However, Gunn indicatedAlcock’s Supergirl won’t be inSuperman: Legacy, though he was possibly being coy. Although Gunn has been quite vocal about how things would work in the DCU, it won’t be surprising if Alcock appears inSuperman: Legacy. This would be an extraordinary surprise for the fandom and movie-goers.

It would be interesting to see how Alcock portrays the character and how unique she makes it through her impeccable acting skills. Without any doubt, fans are excited to see her donning the legendary costume, and they are also happy to see the OG Supergirl welcoming the actor into the DC Universe.
