The original game gave players a few skill trees to build up Cal’s Force powers, his lightsaber skills, and his stats. The same is true forStar Wars Jedi: Survivor, but players have a lot more to work with. For example, a new mechanic in the game allows players to change stances in one of five categories.

Each of these stances has a skill tree and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. With so many choices inStar Wars Jedi: Survivor, it can be hard to know what to pump skill points into first. That’s where these handy tips come into play.

8Survival Skills

Survival Skills is the first upgrade under the Resilience skill tree. It will boost Cal’s health and most of the stats in this skill tree will improve similar stats. The more HP players have, the longer they will survive in tough skirmishes.

It’s a general strategy forfans of action RPGsto follow. It’s an oldie but sometimes it is worth repeating even in big games likeStar Wars Jedi: Survivor. There are other ways to increase health too, but this is the quickest.

7Attunement

Attunement follows a similar path to Survival Skills except that it will increase Cal’s Force health. It’s like how MP meters work in otherRPGs likeFinal Fantasy. Cal didn’t have a lot of Force abilities in the first game so the developers made up for that and gave him a lot more in the sequel. One of the coolest new abilities is called Confusion, which can turn enemies against one another. The more Force power players have, the more tricks they can pull off in battle.

6The Power Of Friendship

The Power of Friendship is a skill that will take a while to unlock. First, players have to buy Improved Stem Formula which will increase how much a Stim from BD-1 will heal for. Next, they have to buy Teamwork which will decrease the time it takes for Cal to heal.

Those are both good early skills to buy, but The Power of Friendship is the real reward. It will give Stims the ability to heal some Force powers as well, and the Force is a strong invisible ally in the game.

5Addled Mind

Addled Mind is the first upgrade under the aforementioned Confusion Force ability. This skill will increase how long enemies will attack other enemies. There are a lot of great upgrades in this skill tree to turn players into master puppeteers.

It’s a great early Force power to sink skill points into if players wish to sit back and watch enemies take themselves out. Players that want to get right into the action with some coolLightsaber moves inStar Wars Jedi: Survivormay want to think twice about investing too much into Confusion past Addled Mind though.

4Wrenching Pull

Wrenching Pull is a Force power that will aid players that want to focus on the action gameplay. It is under the Telekinesis skill tree and will allow players to summon multiple enemies to them by using both the Pull and Push Force power buttons together.

There is no limit to how many enemies this move will bring in either. It depends on the distance between Cal and his enemies. If players plan out their moves perfectly, they can take out sixor more Stormtroopersor Battle Droids easily.

3Greater Hold

Greater Hold is the first upgrade under the Jedi Concentration skill tree. Everything under this tree pertains to Cal’s ability to slow down time. This is a returning ability fromStar Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, but the move set has been refined overall.

Greater Hold in particular will increase the duration of Cal’s spell to keep enemies in this slowed momentum. There is even a way to freeze blasts in the game with the time Force powers sort oflike Kylo Ren’spowers inStar Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens. Upgrading this tree further will turn Cal into a certified time wizard.

2Vortex Dive

There are five Lightsaber stances that players can switch between in the game. They start off with Single and Double-Bladed stances but they will gainDual Wield after the tutorial mission inStar Wars Jedi: Survivor. After that it takes longer to unlock the other two, so beginners just have to worry about deciding on three stances to master.

Of the starting three, Double-Bladed is the best of the bunch as it can hit a lot of enemies at once, has great attack power, and is great at deflecting blasts. That’s why players should focus on buying a bunch of Double-Bladed upgrades like Vortex Dive which propels players forward like a human airplane propeller.

1Repulsing Burst

Repulsing Burst is another upgrade to unlock under theDouble-Bladed umbrella inStar Wars Jedi: Survivor. It will take a while to get to it too just like The Power of Friendship. Players need to unlock Gathering Tempest and then Endless Hurricane before Repulsing Burst becomes available.

This ability will give Cal the strength to slam down on the ground from midair, causing a mini seismic wave to damage enemies in his vicinity. It’s a great way to catch them off balance in the game.
