Since Hulu’sPreydebuted on the streaming service, thePredatorprequel has gotten quite a bit of praise. While the high praise forPreyhas led to some people guessing whether or not there will be aPrey 2, Amber Midthunder recently weighed in on her understanding about the possibility.

Speaking toEntertainment Weekly, Midthunder talked about the possibility of the popularity ofPreyresulting in a sequel on Hulu or on the big screen. It appears that so far, she hasn’t gotten word one way or the other, but she is more than willing to trust whatever the decision on that front is.

Adding onto the fact thatthePreystarhasn’t heard one way or the other as to whether there might be another film set in that era, she voiced her support for the people who will ultimately make that decision. “I’m sure that nobody would make something again if it wasn’t amazing,” she told the publication. She added that “whatever happens” it will be the right choice.

One big question that wasn’t answered in those comments is whether Midthunder would come back to the franchise if she was asked. In some regards, her comments would even seem to indicate that she’s ready to walk away from Naru. Of course, the door for her return is as open, but that question would be better asked if and when there actually is anotherPredatorfilm centered around the Native American culture.

For those who haven’t seenthePredatorprequelthat was set during a period of time long before the American west had really been settled, Midthunder plays a character named Naru who first finds herself a bit of an outcast from her tribe because she refuses to take on the roles that her culture has determined for her. However, she quickly becomes the hero of any human within 100 miles as she goes head-to-head with a Predator alien who is big enough and bad enough to take down a grizzly bear with minimal effort.

When it comes to director Dan Trachtenberg and the idea that there in fact would be anotherfilm in the vein ofPrey, there simply aren’t any answers out there yet. While everyone involved seems somewhat open to the idea, there hasn’t been any kind of official move in that direction.
