Pokemon Scarlet and Violetwill be introducing plenty of new Pokemon to the franchise, but the games will also feature many returning Pokemon as well. Thereturning Pokemon inPokemon Scarlet and Violethail from every generation in the franchise, and while there will be some Pokemon who don’t make the cut, fans can expect hundreds to collect once the new games launch later this year.
No one involved withPokemon Scarlet and Violethave released a list of returning Pokemon in the games, but fans know of at least some of the games' returning Pokemon thanks to the three trailers that have been released so far. Eelektross is an Electric-type Pokemon and the final form of Tynamo, evolved from Eelektrik when using a Thunder Stone. Eelektross first debuted in theGeneration 5PokemongamesPokemon Black and White, with its sprite showing it standing on the ground. But fromPokemon X and Yonwards, Eelektross has been depicted as floating in air, giving the creature a flatter (and arguably far less interesting) look. But as spotted by Twitter user SibiruG, and reported by Nintendo Life, Eelektross is getting a big change inPokemon Scarlet and Violet.
The latestPokemon Scarlet and Violetgameplay trailergives players a brief look at Eelektross as it will appear in the new games. To the delight of Generation 5Pokemonfans, Eelektross inPokemon Scarlet and Violetappears to be in its original, standing state in the new games. It seems many fans approve of this change back to how Eelektross was originally presented inPokemon Black and White, as the tweet has over 14,000 likes at the time of this writing.
It seems many fans are happy with Eelektross having its original look, and it will be interesting to see if any tweaks are made to how the other returning Pokemon inPokemon Scarlet and Violetare presented. Future trailers for the games should give fans a better idea of what to expect on that front, though in some cases fans may have to wait to play the games for themselves. The good news is that thePokemon Scarlet and Violetrelease dateis merely months away, so the wait is coming to an end.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violetlaunch November 18, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
