Pokemon Scarlet and Violetintroduced a new element to its Raid dens with the introduction of the game’s new Terastal mechanic. The games' Tera Raid dens feature a variety of Pokemon that may be rare to encounter in the wild with many sporting different Tera types, making them a valuable addition to a player’s team. Much like inSword and Shield’s Max Raids, players can invite their friends to battle alongside them in a Raid den or recruit other random players online to battle. However, hosts need to pay special attention to their Pokemon selection when dealing with Ditto.

Reddit user DedFluff uploaded a video to theScarlet and Violetsubreddit, reminding host players to pick low-level Pokemon lacking good moves and stats when hosting Ditto Raids. In Raid Dens,Ditto will always use its Transform attackto change itself into the selected Pokemon of the Raid’s host. By picking a Level 7 Magikarp without effective moves, the user can simply rely on the game’s “Cheer” system to buff their allies while their partners use their strongest Pokemon to easily win the battle. The other players are able to use this advantage to easily defeat the 6-star Raid.
