Reddit user FeedMeCrayons has garnered 2,000 upvotes on a video highlighting their life-sizedSquirtlePokemonstatue that’s resting on an end table. Moving the camera around their stained-glass Squirtle, FeedMeCrayons shows the finer details in the back of the Water-type where the shell meets the body and tail, with dozens of triangular segments featured in the front half of the object alone. The Squirtle statue is 20-inches tall, an exact 1-to-1 for its Pokedex entry, and it has 194 different pieces placed together to make the stained glass look like the original Water-type starter.

FeedMeCrayons has ensured to include eyes to make the stained-glass creation feel more sentient. According to FeedMeCrayons, they intended to includeSquirtle’s triangular shades from the anime, but ran out of resources and worked with what they had. FeedMeCrayons has stated that it’s unlikely that they’ll never make another stained-glass Squirtle for commissions because of the costs associated with the medium, making this life-sized statue one of a kind.

Although the video only showcases half of the life-sized Squirtle statue, it’s effective at giving fans ofthe starter Pokemonan idea of what the whole thing looks like by showing the colors used in the stained glass. While FeedMeCrayons has suggested that they won’t be making morePokemonprojects like the one highlighted by their video, the feedback may inspire them to find a price that would be appropriate for how much cost and time goes into it.
