FollowingOverwatch 2’s release, one fan has discovered that players can talk to the giant robot on Push maps. With the release ofOverwatch 2, Blizzard has brought a number of significant changes to the team-based hero shooter, such as 5v5 matches, three new heroes, and several new maps. In addition, another highlight of the sequel is theoriginal game mode called Push.
WhileOverwatch 2has brought back most of the pre-existing game modes from the original 2016 game, Push offers a new take on the team-based hero shooter. As the name suggests, the game mode revolves around escorting a giant robot as it pushes a barricade toward the spawn of the enemy team. This new game type often creates exciting gameplay as each team attempts to wrestle control of the robot away from their opponents in a way not dissimilar to tug of war.

One highlight of the game mode many fans seem to enjoy is the robot, and one fan has pointed out that it is quite friendly. Recently, a gamer known as White-Sister-Rom on Reddit shared a video from a Push game on theColosseo map inOverwatch 2. The brief video began with the Reddit user standing on top of a bridge as they looked down at the robot being escorted by the enemy team. Instead of shooting the opposing players, White-Sister-Rom simply said “hi” and waved. To their surprise, the robot said “hello” back as it passed underneath the bridge.
This new clip from White-Sister-Rom confirmed the suspicions of a number ofmembers of theOverwatch 2communityon Reddit. While the robot can speak during the match, delivering short voice lines related to pushing the payload, many gamers thought it had said hello to them as well. It is worth noting that it is currently unclear if there are more ways for players to interact with the robot. Regardless, many fans enjoyed the cute Easter egg, and it seems likely that more players will attempt to converse with the robot on Push maps in the future.
This is just one of the many discoveries players have made while playingOverwatch 2since it was released several days ago. While even logging into the game was difficult initially due to DDoS attacks and long queue times, it appears that many more gamers are finally gaining access to the anticipated sequel. Just one of the other discoveries players have made in-game is abug that gives players golden weapons duringOverwatch 2matches. Time will tell what fans find next on the Push maps inOverwatch 2.
