The Staff
The attention of every fan will be on the animation in the episode. The entireWano Country archas been a treat for the eyes with its incredibly high level of animation. The arc has been nearly impeccable, and fans have had very little to complain about. The bigger fights in the arc have received amazing treatment, and they had some of the best action scenes in the anime’s history. Considering Luffy vs. Kaido is the main highlight of the arc, it is bound to be better than anything Toei has put out so far. A couple of weeks ago, there were strong rumors that Megumi Ishtani would be working on the episode, but she denied any involvement.
However, this does not mean that the episode does not have talented individuals working on it. So far, Tatsuya Nagamine, Akihiro Ota, Bahi JD, Masami Mori, Shinya Ohira, Yong Ce Tu, and Vincent Chansard have been confirmed to be a part of the stafffor the Gear Fifth episodes. There is also speculation that Naotoshi Shida will also be involved in the episodes, but there is no confirmation yet. All of them are big names and have been responsible for producing some of the most memorable moments in the anime. However, their discussion was cut short by Zunesha, who began to talk to Momonosuke about the Drums of Liberation. The elephant told Momonosuke that it had not heard the sound in centuries and that it indubitably meant Joyboy had returned. This coincided with Luffy getting up and awakening the latent power of his Devil Fruit.
Significance Of Gear Fifth
Gear Fifth is the pinnacle of Luffy’s power, and it gives him more freedom than any of his previous powers. This is in line with Luffy’s dream of being the freest person in the world. Given the fact that Luffy is extremely close to his dream now, it makes sense for him to have a trump card that would see him over the finish line.
Luffy’s Devil Fruit is calledHito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika, which is a Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruit. Nika was the Sun God, who is said to have been revered by slaves. Since Luffy ate the Devil Fruit, he bears Nika’s will. The Devil Fruit was the sole reason why Luffy managed to get up after being dealt a severe blow by Kaido. The Devil Fruit has been sought by the World Government for centuries, but it always seemed to elude the organization. When the Devil Fruit was finally in possession of the Cipher Pol, Shanks attacked them and stole it. From there, the Devil Fruit remained with the Red-Haired pirate until Luffy accidentally ate it. This clearly seems to be the work of fate, a thing that is behind almost all the major events inOne Piece.
What To Expect From The Episode
One PieceEpisode 1071 is going to be legendary. Fans will get to see Luffy using Gear Fifth for the very first time. Manga readers already know what to expect in the episode, but they are still in for a treat as they will get to see the fight between Kaido and Luffy animated at an extremely high level. This battle will be different from any of the previous ones as it will feel a bit more fun and silly; after all, Gear Fifth embodies Luffy’s childish and pure spirit.
In the preview, Luffy used his newfound power to grab Kaido’s enormous body.Even the Yonko wasbaffled to see the sudden increase in Luffy’s strength.
