Littered across the various mountain areas are missions and story quests to take part in. These generally move the needle forward within the context of the parody-filled narrative but they also reward players with new cosmetic goodies and new locations to snowboard in and around.

Winding up in Shredders essentially means pre-timing a trick, typically in terms of spins and flips, or a combination thereof. For those players that hope to remedy this, they can open the menu and head to the spawn point section. At this point, players can choose from any unlocked mountain area as well as a direct spawn point, with the game doling out new ones for completing missions and moving the story forward overall.
