Marvel’s Avengersfocused initially on five members of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes – among them, the legendary assassin known as the Black Widow. Unlike her comrades on the team, Black Widow focuses on stealth, precision, and good old-fashioned skill. She doesn’t wear a flashy costume, she doesn’t announce her presence with bombast, and she doesn’t have any superpowers. She has her wits, her hands, and her weapons.

With that in mind, Black Widow is going to play very differently from theother members of the Avengers. Her skill set has to be very precise. That’s what this guide is here to help with, listing every skill that players will want to unlock for her as soon as possible.
10Bullet Storm
Black Widow, more thanCaptain America, Hulk, and Thor, is going to rely on ranged combat. She doesn’t have a mystic hammer or impenetrable shield; Natasha has guns and isn’t uncomfortable using them. That brings us to the first skill upgrade on this list, Bullet Storm.
To unlock this one, Black Widow must be at Hero Level 3. Bullet Storm allows Black Widow to charge up her ranged attack and then release it as a devastating – surprise, surprise – storm of bullets.

9Full-Auto Shot
This skill also upgrades Black Widow’s ranged combat, and requires that Bullet Storm is already unlocked as a prerequisite. The Full-Auto Shot upgrade gives Black Widow’s pistols an alternate firing mode. It extends the magazines and makes the guns fully automatic. Natasha can then fire continuously, though accuracy goes down the longer she holds the triggers.
In addition to being a useful upgrade, Full-Auto Shot is also just fun. Sometimes players get tired of punching, smashing, and hammering enemies. Sometimes, it’s satisfying to just shoot a bad guy.

8Rain Maker
Rain Maker is an upgrade to the Full-Auto Shot skill and requires that Full-Auto Shot is unlocked before the player can access it. The Rain Maker adds another 20 rounds to the Black Widow’s full-auto magazine.
This is incredibly useful, as players don’t want to be forced to reload too soon once they break out the fully automatic pistols and start mowing down villains.

7High-Caliber Shot
High-Caliber Shot is another upgrade path for the Black Widow’s pistols, and offers more versatility to her ranged combat. The High-Caliber Shot requires that players unlock the Bullet Storm upgrade first. Like the Full-Auto Shot, it is another alternate firing mode for the pistols.

Instead of twin pistols, Black Widow swaps to a single high-caliber pistol capable of dealingsignificant damage to enemieswith a single shot.
6Perforator
Perforator is an upgrade to the High-Caliber Shot that allows for an even more powerful ranged attack. Naturally, it requires that the High-Caliber Shot skill is already unlocked.
Perforator allows Black Widow to charge up her High Caliber-Shot, turning the bullet into an ionized round. With this, she can pierce through enemies and damage multiple foes with just one bullet.

5Lightning Fist
No matter how good Black Widow’s ranged combat is, enemies are inevitably going to close the gap on Natasha. She doesn’t want to be left at a disadvantage when it comes time to throw hands. With that in mind, players will want to unlock the Lightning Fist upgrade.
This one requires that the player has already unlocked the Widow’s Bite Specialization I, as the Lightning Fist is a variant of Black Widow’s Widow’s Bite skill. It channels the Widow’s Bite electric charge back into Natasha’s gauntlets, allowing her to make a fast melee attack that sends foes flying and charges her Assault Heroic meter.

4Paralyzing Bite
The Paralyzing Bite is another upgrade to the Widow’s Bite, and requires Widow’s Bite Specialization II to unlock. The Paralyzing Bite increases the stun damage output of the Widow’s Bite attack, increasing the chance to stun enemies hit with the Widow’s Bite.
Stunning and knocking back enemies allows the Black Widow to create distance again and continue torain bullets down on foes. The Paralyzing Bite and Electric Fist compliment the ranged combat upgrades splendidly.

3Kilowatt
Kilowatt is an upgrade to the Black Widow’s Ultimate Heroic Ability, Power Surge. In this mode, the Black Widow deploys electric stun batons. She can dole out special light and heavy attacks with an electric charge, and it reduces damage dealt to the Black Widow.

Kilowatt requires Power Surge Specialization II to unlock, and increases the chance for Black Widow’s Power Surge attacks to stun enemies by 30%.
2Night Terror
The Night Terror ability improves Black Widow’s Veil of Shadows ability. Veil of Shadows is a short-range cloaking device that turns both Black Widow and her nearby allies invisible.
Night Terror requires that players have unlocked Veil of Shadows Specialization I. It increases the Veil of Shadows duration by three seconds, as well as the chance to land a Critical Attack by 25% while Veil of Shadows is active.

1Unseen Fate
Unseen Fate is another upgrade on the Veil of Shadows skill tree, and requires that Black Widow is at Hero Level 6 to be unlocked.
This skill upgrade makes it so that enemies with low health who are in the area of effect for Veil of Shadows are susceptible to takedown attacks. This means they will be instantly defeated, and that players get a nice bit of combat visual variation.
