Pokemon GOWorld of Wonders was first revealed with a brief teaser trailer thatshowed a Pokemon trainer traveling with a Nidoranand encountering an Ultra Beast portal. Then,Pokemon GOmade an appearance during the Pokemon Presents event on Pokemon Day, which confirmed some more details about what fans can expect from the new season. As confirmed by Niantic,Pokemon GOWorld of Wonders starts March 1 at 10:00amand lasts until Saturday, June 1 at 9:59am local time. Once the World of Wonders starts,Pokemon GOplayers will be able to tackle a brand-new Special Research quest with new objectives unlocking as the season marches on. The new Special Research will be all about Poipole, anUltra Beastmaking its debut inPokemon GOon March 1. The new Special Research will be free, but those wanting to spend some cash will be able to purchase the Wonder Ticket to enhance their experience with new Pokemon encounters, avatar items, and seasonal Timed Research.

New Pokemon Coming in World of Wonders

It hasn’t been confirmed yet, but it’s likely that the Ultra Beast Naganadel will also be debuting inPokemon GOthis season since it is the evolved form of Poipole, but fans will have to wait and see what happens on that front. In the meantime, more Pokemon will debut later on in the World of Wonders, with aspecialPokemon Horizonscrossover eventtaking place from March 5 at 10:00am to March 11 at 8:00pm local time. That event will see the debuts of Paldea region Pokemon Charcadet, Armarouge, and Ceruledge, plus a new Pikachu variant that has the franchise mascot wearing a Captain’s hat.

As usual, the new season means some fresh five-starShadow Pokemon RaidsforPokemon GOplayers to tackle. For the World of Wonders, players can encounter Shadow Raikou, Shadow Entei, and Shadow Suicune. Shiny variants of these Pokemon will be available, but they will be rare.

New Research Breakthrough Rewards for World of Wonders

ThePokemon GOField Research Breakthrough Rewardsare also getting a refresh with World of Wonders on March 1. While manyPokemon GOplayers still miss the days that Legendary Pokemon were featured as Field Research Breakthrough Rewards, they may still be happy to see that the reward options are getting shaken up a bit with the new season. Starting March 1, Field Research Breakthrough Rewards will include Hisuian Sneasel, Furfrou, Goomy, Sandygast, Jangmo-O, and Dubwool.

World of Wonders Wild Pokemon Spawns

Of course, thePokemon available in the wildwill also be tweaked when the World of Wonders goes live on March 1. Togetic, Gardevoir, Delcatty, Gulpin, Stunky, Purrloin, and Scraggy will be popping up in the city, while Jumpluff, Absol, Elgyem, Phantump, Dewpider, Fomantis, and Pawmi will appear in Forests.Pokemon GOplayers willing to take their hunts to Mountain areas will find Magcargo, Phanpy, Nosepass, Medicham, Duskull, Carbink, and Noibat, whereas Quagsire, Shuckle, Surskit, Clamperl, Inkay, Clauncher, and Tadbulb will spawn at Beaches and Water. Those in the Northern Hemisphere can snag Hisuian Growlithe, Mawile, Bagon, Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, and Litleo, and finally, the Southern Hemisphere will be treated to Hisuian Voltorb, Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile, Skarmory, Larvitar, and Electrike.

And finally, thePokemon GOegg hatching poolis getting changed when World of Wonders goes live on March 1. 2km Eggs will feature Togepi, Gothita, Solosis, Larvesta, and Fletchling, while 5km Eggs will have Lickitung, Sableye, Roggenrola, Larvesta, and Skrelp, with Adventure Sync Rewards adding Gligar, Mantyke, Tirtouga, Archen, and Phantump to the mix. 7km Eggs will have Alolan Vulpix, Galarian Slowpoke, Galarian Farfetch’d, Paldean Wooper, and Galarian Stunfisk, with Routes Rewards adding Hisuian Growlithe, Paldean Wooper, Hisuian Sneasel, Pawniard, and Vullaby. Lastly, 10km Eggs will include Larvesta, Goomy, Turtonator, Charcadet (after March 11), and Frigibax, with Adventure Sync Rewards also giving players the chance to snag Dratini, Deino, Goomy, Turtonator, and Jangmo-O.

On top of all these changes,Pokemon GOWorld of Wonders will also include themed stickers,various Community Day events, and a fresh start for the GO Battle League. Plus, there are other bonuses forPokemon GOplayers to look forward to as well, come March 1. During the World of Wonders, players can look forward to increased damage dealt while battling in raids with their friends, one additional free Raid Pass per day when spinning Gym Photo Discs, and increased XP for defeating one-star and three-star Raids.
