Kirby and the Forgotten Landhas co-op supportfor up to two players, as revealed by the latestKirby and the Forgotten Landtrailer. Nintendo is now giving fans an even closer look at theKirby and the Forgotten Landco-op mode with a quartet of screenshots that show co-op in action.

The first screenshot shows Kirby standing alongside Bandana Waddle Dee, with the first player controlling Kirby and the second player controlling Waddle Dee, not unlike how co-op has worked in somepastKirbyvideo games. The other three screenshots show Kirby and Waddle Dee fighting enemies, with Kirby using copy abilities to take out foes and Waddle Dee utilizing his signature spear.

Since Waddle Dee can’t absorb enemies, he won’t have nearly as much functionality as Kirby, but he should still be fun enough for a co-op partner to play as come the game’s launch. He will definitely be more involved than, say,Bowser Jr. inSuper Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury, where the second player was severely limited when compared to the first player.

It remains to be seen how fans will react toKirby and the Forgotten Land’s co-op when they actually get their hands on it, but what’s been shown so far has been plenty impressive.Kirby and the Forgotten Landis definitely one of thebiggest Nintendo Switch exclusive games set to launch in 2022, and while it remains to be seen if it’s going to live up to the hype, it seems to have quite a bit of momentum behind it so far.

Kirby and the Forgotten Landlaunches March 25, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
