Fortnite’s Chapter 2 launched with a bang back in October, bringing a wave of new content and mechanics to Epic’s massively popular Battle Royale. Two months in, andFortniteChapter 2 Season 1 has just been extended all the way to February, giving developers a holiday break while leaving fans hungry for more.
With the Season finale still a long way off, there’s plenty of time to complete the weekly and special challenges toearn skins, gliders, and a variety of other rewards. The latest of these weekly challenge sets, Chaos Rising, launches tomorrow, and at first glance it seems to be a fairly generic and straightforward selection.

Moderately Chaotic
Technically, the details of the Chaos Rising missions shouldn’t be revealed until tomorrow. However, thanks to the efforts of well-knowndata-mineriFireMonkey, the full list has been revealed a day early:
Search Ammo Boxes at Steamy Stacks or Holly Hedges (0/7).
Complete a Motorboat time trial (0/1).
Deal damage to opponents from below (0/250).
Dance at the Green Steel Bridge, the Yellow Steel Bridge, and the Red Steel Bridge (0/1).
Search Chests in a single match (0/5).
Deal damage to opponents while in water (0/500).
Search the XP Drop hidden in the Chaos Rising Loading Screen (0/1).
Overall, the challenges are quite straightforward and will probably be completed by many players in the course of normal game-play. The only possible exception is the newLoading Screen search, which requires an active hunt for its location. As there are no longer any letters to find in Loading Screens, players in Week 9 will instead be searching for a hidden XP boost instead.
What’s Coming Next
AlthoughSeason 2 has been delayed until at least February 2020, that doesn’t mean that the game is going to be stagnating until then. Already players are beginning to notice snow falling across the Battle Island, most likely an early sign of this year’s holiday-season event.
Last year Epic celebrated December with the14 Days ofFortnite, bringing new challenges and rewards with each day. This year Epic is promising to do even more, with an announcement that the holiday event will include new game features, free rewards, and a mysterious live experience.
