The multiplayer preview forHalo Infiniteis a great way for fans of the franchise to give the game a try and see how its mechanics feel following the game’s year-long delay. For others, however, the preview serves as a chance to push the game to its limits and, in the case of one YouTuber, to try out some sniper trick shots.
Posted to Twitter by Australian YouTuber MintBlitz, thisHalo Infiniteclip is really something else. Mint Blitz is doing some pretty traditional sniping in the newest map added to the preview, Behemoth, for the first half of the video. Things take a turn when the YouTuber throws a plasma grenade underneath a nearby Warthog only to grapple onto it, be sent flying in the air and get one more quick headshot from above.

The video serves as an excellent example of just how open-endedHalo Infinite’s mechanicscan be and the freedoms that gives players. What’s more, the addition of a grappling hook is going to do a lot to change the way that high-levelHaloplay is approached, so there will likely be a lot more grappling hook highlight reels when the game launches in December as a result.
Mint Blitz is something of aHaloexpert as his YouTube channel is full of trick shots and crazy stunts pulled off acrossall the games in theHaloseries. So, those worried about being instantly killed by a flying sniper don’t need to worry that complicated grappling hook strategies will become the norm when it comes to online multiplayer.
There have been plenty of players who participated in last weekend’s multiplayer preview who have been uploading their own trick shots and engine exploits includingone hilarious glitch that causes “wet floor” signs to replicate infinitely. The entire point of the technical preview is so that 343 Industries can iron out and fix some of the bugs and issues pointed out by players including things like the sign glitch.
That’s not to say thatHalo Infinitewill be entirely free of bugs, however, it seems like 343 wants to make the game’s launch as smooth as possible. The studio is potentially in need of some goodwill that could come their way with a smooth launch because of their decision last August to delay one of 2020’s most anticipated releases into 2021 and then not includingsome ofHalo Infinite’s most requested features at launch. Luckily, the response to the game has been positive so far alluding to a successful launch whenHalo Infinitereleases in December.
Halo Infinitelaunches on December 8 for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
