Genshin Impacthas certainly become the most popular titles in the industry that uses a gacha system. Gacha games allow players to buy lootboxes which can drop anything from a low rarity sword to a new five-star character.

Genshin Impactbanners have a pity system which guarantees an item of a certain rarity after a fixed number of pulls. An interesting concept on Reddit shows how a small change could make the wishing process much more enjoyable.

An interesting post on the officialGenshin Impactsubreddit by user yagamasta has gathered a lot of attention in the community. Reddit user yagamasta has proposed a small change to the banner appearance and fans are loving it. The change includes displaying the current pity count for a banner. This would allow players to know how many wishes they have beforereaching the 90-wish guarantee. At the moment, the only way to know a pity count is to open the wish history and count the items pulled after the last high rarity item.

This simple concept has been very well received in the community as it gathered over 9k upvotes at the time of this writing. to acquire a character or item though a banner, players are required to spend their Intertwined or Acquaint Fates which can be purchased by Primogems.Genshin Impact’s limited character bannersusually bring one five-star and three four-star characters. Because of their higher rarity, five-star characters are obviously harder to pull and players are guaranteed to get a five-star item every 90 wishes, but they can drop much sooner.

Four-star items are much easier to acquire since they are obligated to drop within 10 spent wishes. Back in update 2.3,Hoyoverse introduced a new type of bannerwhich included two five-star characters in one banner cycle. This allows players to choose between two five-stars while building the same 90-wish pity. The double banners usually contain two re-runs like it’s the case with the ongoing limited banner which features Raiden Shogun and Sangonomiya Kokomi.

The official Livestream forGenshin Impactupdate 2.6has confirmed the three characters that will arrive at the upcoming limited banners. The first cycle will bring another double banner featuring the new character, Kamisato Ayato and Venti. As many fans previously expected, the second limited banner will feature Ayato’s sister, Ayaka who is confirmed to be the only character on the banner.

Genshin Impactis now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
