Foxholeis amassive multiplayer action-strategy gamethat allows each player to have a valuable role when contributing to the war effort. This can be done in a variety of ways such as building bases for other players, reconnaissance to locate enemy forts, and intense combat with so much more still to discover.

Besides the logistics of the game that allows players to focus on constructing new weaponry for other players, it is also important to know what firearms are best to build and then bring into battle. With dangers such as tanks, snipers, and other units on the opposing side, these guns are by far the ones that players will wish to have equipped.
10Flamethrower
Although a risky weapon to bring into many gun fights, players can deny the enjoyment of creating anarchy by setting both the enemy and their bases on fire. Unlike some weapons, both the Colonial faction and the Wardens are provided with a flamethrower meaning both sides can take part in this enjoyment.
An issue with heavy weapons inFoxholeis how they encumber the player, this means that when the flamethrower is equipped in the primary slot a player will walk or run at an incredibly slow pace. This can be counteracted by having a secondary weapon equipped such as a pistol as changing to this allows them to run at a normal speed.

9Pistol
Pistols are not only reliable but also incredibly useful due to them allowing a player to move faster when using a heavy firearm. Favored commonly by Wardens, this faction gets two pistols instead of the singular starter pistol weapon.
Few guns allow the player to fire while moving, and therefore it makesthe pistol an agile weaponto use when advancing on an enemy base or attempting to find cover through intense firing. By far the Cascadier 873 pistol is the best of the bunch as it fires a burst of three bullets that can possibly down an enemy if all three hit for max damage.

8Sniper Rifle
Those that enjoy playing from a distance will be glad to see that Sniper Rifles are just as important in Foxhole as they are in anyother large war-themed game. Both factions are able to construct a sniper rifle of their own make and design in the factory allowing for intense sniper battles between opponents.

In an attempt to add immersion toFoxhole, players will not be able to fire the sniper rifle successfully while standing, and therefore it is recommended to think strategically by going prone on a high surface. They also become useless during nighttime missions as enemies become difficult to see through the darkness.
7Mounted Infantry Support Gun
As a Colonial faction-only weapon, this gives this side of players an upper hand when it comes todestroying enemy basesor defending against advancing vehicles. Due to being a mounted weapon a player taking this gun onto the battlefield will want to keep their distance from others to avoid taking mass amounts of enemy fire.
It is important to also mention that the gun called the Daucus isg.III also needs a tripod to be deployed, and a player can’t hold any other weapons while carrying it. This means that it can’t be the player’s primary weapon and should instead be deployed permanently somewhere to be used.

6Anti-Tank Rifle
An issue with the Mounted Infantry Support Gun is it isn’t as effective against tanks, this is when the anti-tank rifle becomes useful when dealing with armored vehicles, including its namesake of tanks. Similar to the sniper rifle, a player cannot fire the anti-tank rifle comfortably while standing up, and therefore they will need to be prone while firing.
While a Warden is gifted with the more versatile version of the gun that allows them to also have a secondary equipped, the Colonial faction is stuck with a mounted version. This isn’t a complete negative for those that have chosen to fight for that side as it actually does more damage than the Wardens' version allowing it to keep the opposing faction back easily.

5Shotgun
The shotgun is incredibly powerful during up-close battles in the trenches. It can put an opponent in a near-death state from a single shot though to get into this range can be very dangerous and therefore relies heavily on team pushes through the battlefield.

Unlike other weapons on the list, both factions can build the exact same Brasa shotgun to use, and thereforeneither faction has a better advantagewhen it comes to using shotguns. Before the shotgun used to be one of the best weapons available for offensive combat however, since an update that nerfed its damage it has taken a hit to its ranking.
4Assault Rifle
Medium-range weapons are important, especially for players that are hoping to take a more offensive role inFoxhole. Assault Rifles fill this void brilliantly though they do have their setbacks such as the penalty to movement when running with an assault rifle equipped, as well as not being able to aim well while moving with them.
Wardens once again have the upper hand when it comes to this category of weapon with two different rifles for players to construct. Wardens will want to use the Aalto Storm Rifle 24 due to its similarities to a submachine gun and its versatility.

3Rifle
Although they fire slower than assault rifles,a player can’t go wrong with equipping a rifledue to its versatility in all situations. In many cases a player that has good accuracy will be able to down an enemy in two shots with a rifle, as the first one slows them down the second one is likely to kill them.

A rifle can be made even better if a player decides to equip it with a bayonet meaning they can also become lethal up close with an easy stab attack.
2Machine Guns
Making players walking targets, the machine gun is one of the heaviest weapons in the game that would be a hindrance if players didn’t also have a lighter secondary weapon equipped. Players will want to use their designated faction machine gun not only to gun down oncoming infantry but also to destroy enemy bases as it easily melts through many building materials.
Similar to other heavy weapons, players will increase their accuracy while crouched or prone with the machine gun which may mean some players would prefer to use the mounted version of the weapon instead.

1Submachine Guns
Many players may be surprised to see that submachine guns are ranked as the best guns to use inFoxhole. Although its damage is low the gun is incredibly effective in offensive combat and is actually the reason shotguns are now as low as they are in the ranking.
Although they become less effective at a distance, players using them in urban areas or at night are in for an advantage asthey can get in close to an opponentand therefore deal with them effortlessly. Both factions have two submachine guns each which allows players to decide which one they are more comfortable with in combat.
