If the player does not take advantage of every trick and ability available to them, these two enemies can destroy Yuffie in just a few moments. For anybody whose patience is pushed to the limits by this battle, follow the tips below.

Before The Battle

There are a few kew things to do to tip the balance in Yuffie’s favor.Definitely have the Healing and Ice materia equipped, because the two enemies are weak to the latter. Also be sure to explore every nook and cranny of the area beforehand because there are some Materia and accessories to be found in the area beforehand.

There is an HP Up Materia in the interior area before the battle which should help a little bit. Before crouching under the shutter there is a ladder Yuffie can climb down. Descend it and activate the elevator and on the platform the Materia will be in plain sight. Once outside there is a Power Wristguard to find in a treasure chest to the right of the ladder leading to the roof. Afterwards you will see a man in black. After crossing the chasm, the fight with the two wolves begins.

Beating The Two Wayward Wolves

The main thing to be aware of during this fight is the distance between Yuffie and the enemies. For the most part, it is best to stay as far away as possible. With this in mind, thebest move to use against them is the Throw command. It does damage from far away and also fills up their stagger gauge pretty quickly.

They can dodge it but it will hit them eventually. Also try to focus on one at a time, because the battle becomes significantly easier once the first one is incapacitated.Magic, particularly Ice, also does a lot of damageto them and fills up the stagger gauge. However, it uses up ATB so be sure to prioritize healing.

The two most devastating moves the Wayward Wolf uses are the Headbutt and the Throat Clamp. The ladder in particular is dangerous because it pins Yuffie down for several seconds, leaving her vulnerable to hits from the other Wayward Wolf. Fortunately, they are both heavily telegraphed.Headbutt can be blocked completely with the right timingand the dodge button might be able to roll out of the way of Throat Clamp.

These two enemies are the hardest thing the DLC chapter throws at Yuffie up until the last hour or so. It is almost as if the developer put it there to warn anyone who has not played the main campaign. All the same, a little tact can turn these two enemies into a cakewalk.
