Does Final Fantasy 16 Demo Progress Carry Over?
In previous demos forFinal Fantasygames, progress did not carry over. However, forFinal Fantasy 16players will be happy to hear thatsave data from the demo will carry overto the full game when it releases next week. The demo shows players the opening ofFinal Fantasy 16, and according to the Playstation Blog, this demo contains roughly the first two and a half hours of the game.
The first section of the demoincludes the opening of the game, and then it shifts to Clive’s (the main character) childhood and shows players how he became the man he is in the present day. This also includes a full tutorial about combat and other systems so that players can get a head start. There is also the option to select difficulty as well.

Even after players complete the lengthy prologue in the demo, that isn’t the end of the experience provided by the demo. Upon completing the prologue,Final Fantasy 16players unlock a unique part of the gamethat focuses heavily on combat. Players will be significantly boosted up in terms of level and abilities, so they can really take Clive and his unique powers for a spin while also being accompanied by some party members. Unfortunately, this section of the demo does not allow players to carry over their progress. But it will allow players to experience what combat will be like later on in the game.
Are There Any Unique Rewards for Beating the Demo?
For players hoping there might be some useful rewards or cool cosmetics for beating theFinal Fantasy 16demo, that is unfortunately not the case. The only bonuses in Final Fantasy 16 are the pre-order bonuses and any digital goodies that areavailable in the Digital Deluxe/Collector’s Edition of the game.
Final Fantasy 16launches on June 22nd for PS5.
