TheDiablo 4Server Slam stress test will begin on May 12and will run for 48 hours until May 14.RELATED:Diablo 4 Might Have Another KFC Promotion SoonTheDiablo 4preload is available through the Battle.net launcher. Simply navigate to theDiablo 4menu on the Games landing, then selectDiablo 4- Server Slam from the Game Versions menu in the bottom left. The client is close to 80 gigabytes, but players can exclude high-resolution assets via the Modify Install button to reduce the file’s size by nearly 50%. High-resolution assets benefit players using 4k monitors or Ultra settings the most, soPCDiablo 4players closer to the minimum system requirementscan save space by using this option.
Fans who never got around to uninstalling theDiablo 4beta client from the previous weekendsare in luck–the old client can be used for the Server Slam. These players will need to install a small patch that was made available alongside the client preload. Once this short update is complete, players will be ready to log on once the Server Slam begins.
This stress test is the final chance forDiablo 4players to get a taste of the game before its official launch. Technically,Diablo 4is having an Early Access periodthat begins four days early, but access is locked behind the Digital Deluxe and Ultimate editions of the game, so only players who buy these premium upgrades can participate. On the other hand, the Server Slam is free for everyone–even those who haven’t pre-purchasedDiablo 4yet.
This weekend’s Server Slam is also the last chance for players to unlock theDiablo 4beta participation rewards. In addition to another chance at earning the titles and wolf pup back transmog available in previous betas,Diablo 4fans can earn a new cosmetic exclusive to the Server Slam. TheCry of Ashava mount trophy can be unlocked byDiablo 4playerswho reach level 20 and defeat the eponymous world boss at least once during the weekend. Players who already did this in previous weeks won’t unlock this cosmetic retroactively, so they should be sure to defeat Ashava at least once during the Server Slam if they want to collect this special trophy.
Diablo 4releases June 6 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
