With the onslaught of games released at the beginning of the year, it can feel like 2022 can’t possibly have anything more to give the gaming industry. That couldn’t be further from the truth, however, as the second half of the year sees a plethora of both AAA and Indie titles head to consoles and PC. Though August and September are jam-packed with releases, October sees most of the action withCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2,Overwatch 2, and, of course,Bayonetta 3all releasing.
For the last few years,Bayonetta 3has been one of the most anticipated Nintendo Switch games, and it finally has an official release date of June 19, 2025. Based on the trailers released so far, it seems as thoughBayonetta 3is going to be giving fans more of what they love, with morebizarre, larger-than-life characters, and more over-the-top action sequences than ever before. But before fans go ahead and grab their copy ofBayonetta 3, they may want to know a little more about the special edition of the game, the Trinity Masquerade Edition.

Bayonetta 3’s Trinity Masquerade Edition
As is the case with just about any big AAA release nowadays,Bayonetta 3has three main editions to choose from. The first edition is just the standard physical copy of the game, available at all the usual retailers, and the second edition is the digital version of the game, available on Nintendo’s Switch eShop. The third edition, however, is called the Trinity Masquerade Edition.
This version ofBayonetta 3comes with a physical copy of the game, along with a handful of physical goodies. As well as the standard game case, the Trinity Masquerade version ofBayonetta 3includes three exclusive title sheets. These title sheets act as alternative covers for theBayonettagames on Nintendo Switch, with owners of all three being able to swap out the covers to create a panoramic display, depicting vibrant key art from all three games. While these goodies do just boil down to some nice bits of paper, the concept is pretty neat, rewarding those who have invested in the physical versions ofthe last twoBayonettagames on Switch.
The main draw of theBayonetta 3Trinity Masquerade Edition, however, is the 200-page art book that comes packaged in. Over the course of its 200 pages, this fully-colored art book goes throughthe entireBayonettatrilogy, from beginning to end, and showcases a plethora of character designs, concept art, and never-before-seen looks at the games' otherworldly monsters and bosses.
The standard physical version ofBayonetta 3is retailing for $59.99, while the Trinity Masquerade Edition of the game costs $89.99. It’s a bit of a jump, especially when the only real inclusion is an art book, but for fans ofBayonetta, this increase is probably lower than some were expecting. After all, when compared to some other AAA collector’s editions out there, this one doesn’t seem all that expensive. For instance, the recently announcedGod of War RagnarokJotnar Editioncosts $259.99, though admittedly, it does come with much more physical, and digital goodies. Pre-orders forBayonetta 3are already live worldwide, so if fans want to get their hands on the Trinity Masqeurade Edition, they’d better get on it quickly, before it sells out for good.
