Ubisoft 2021 Schedule

Going into the holiday season, Ubisoft’s biggest release is without a doubtFar Cry 6. The latest installment in the hugely successful open world series brings the action to the fictional Caribbean island called Yara, tasking players to bring down the ruthless dictator Antón Castillo (played by Giancarlo Esposito). Trailers for the game have teased the usual components that make up aFar Crygame, bombastic weapons, insane characters and a vibrant environment to explore.

For players uninterested in that series or who just prefer something more casual, Ubisoft has plans in those areas as well.Riders Republicshould satisfy sports enthusiasts and thrillseekers everywhere. Looking to build upon the extreme sports concept fromSteep, this title features multiple sports such as skiing, snowboarding and wingsuit flying. Kicking next year off with a bang isTom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction, finally hitting consoles and PC after a series of delays. Serving as aspin-off ofTom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, but with a parasitic alien twist, the game looks like a memorable spin on the established formula. After this is a brand new game set in theAvataruniverse titledAvatar: Frontiers of Pandora. The next-gen-only title is being developed by the same creative team behindThe Division, which should bode well for the open world project considering that studio’s pedigree.

Next up is the return of two familiar gaming franchises, coming back to the spotlight after some time away.Mario+Rabbids Sparks of Hopeis the follow up to the surprise hit from 2017, continuing the successful blend of irreverent humor and addictive tacts gameplay in the original.Prince of Persia Sands of Timeremakewill also finally hit shelves after a significant delay from its initial release date in early 2021. The revamped visuals will provide both new and old fans with a fresh spin on the beloved classic.

TBA Released Dates and Rumored Ubisoft Games

Ubisoft is certainly a busy company, with the publisher having just as many games in early (or rumored) development as it has titles actually prepping for release. BothSkull and BonesandBeyond Good and Evil 2already have numerous years of development under their belts, yet still have no estimated release window. Little is known regarding the overall progress of both games, either, aside from the unfortunate rumor thatSkull and Boneshas completely restarted development.

An open worldStar Warsgame from the same team behindAvatar: Frontiers of Pandorahas also been confirmed to be in production. This project is likely in early stages and won’t be ready for quite some time. Rumors also persist for anewSplinter Cellgameyear after year. Ubisoft keeps Sam Fisher alive as a guest character in other titles, so there may be some hope for the franchise to make a comeback.

Ubsoft has also announced a new game in theAssassin’s Creedfranchise calledAssassin’s Creed Infinity. This new take on the series will switch things over to a live service model with an emphasis on multiplayer gameplay. Little is known on when the game will land, aside from it being in active development. Lastly, the gameRoller Champions, a 3v3 multiplayer game was supposed to be set for sometime in 2021.
