Since it released on March 20, id Software has been continually updatingDoom Eternalwith new content, including funny or bizarre new skins which can be applied to Doomguy and the ensemble of different demons he can slay. The game’s second season of content launched in April with ahipster-themed skin for the Archvile, and now players can prepare to get a new “Mullet Slayer” skin for Doomguy on May 21 — complete with an exposed beer belly sticking out from a shirt that proudly proclaims he is “extra thicc.”
However, unlike the hipster Archvile and other pieces of content available through in-game means, Mullet Slayer will only be available to those who connect their Twitch Prime accounts toDoom Eternalthrough Bethesda.net. Mullet Slayer follows up theDOOMicorn skin released through Twitch Primein March, however there’s been a delay in the release schedule due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

According to a notice about changing Twitch Prime drops released by the Bethesda Slayers Club on Wednesday, the collection series which was originally only going to have three installments — with Mullet Slayer being the second — will now have a fourth all-new drop “as our way of saying thanks for your understanding and patience.” This announcement comes around the same time as its developers confirmingDoom Eternal’s first DLC campaign is on its way.
Doom Eternalis not the only game to be releasing exclusive content through Twitch Prime subscriptions. Respawn Entertainment’s battle royaleApex Legendshas become fairly well-known for the practice, and in April released aTwitch Prime skin for Wraith. Titles like Bungie’sDestiny 2and Rockstar Games’Red Dead Onlinehave also offered Twitch Prime loot.
Content within various games are not the only rewards players have been able to receive through Twitch Prime. The service — part of a member benefit program connected with everything from faster shipping for deliveries through Amazon, exclusive television and movies, and deals at Whole Foods Market — has also scored memberssix free games in May 2020, including the puzzle platformSnake Pass.
That said, Mullet Slayer is certainly an interesting addition to throw on the pile of what players are able to unlock through Twitch Prime. The announcement of the skin on Twitter features a cutscene fromDoom Eternalin which Doomguy walks out with his hanging gut and mullet that makes for a strong selling point why someone might want to unlock him.
