Xur has returned again toDestiny 2, complete with new exotic and legendary gear for players to check out for a limited time. The arrival of Xur pairs well with a significant change Bungie made this week to how players build out their characters. With significant changes coming to buildcrafting with Lightfall,Bungie unlocked all standard armor modsto help prepare players for the loadout specific changes on the horizon.
With theLightfall expansion launching next month, Bungie likely has more planned in the coming weeks asDestiny 2appears to be heading towards another evolution. In fact, Bungie is also making a big change to focusing gear, reducing the legendary shard cost at all Crucible, Gambit, Trials of Osiris, and Iron Banner vendors.

For now, the weekend merchant Xur has finally arrived back inside ofDestiny 2for another weekend visit. Follow this guide for his most current weekend location, news on his exotic cipher quest, as well as a review of all the exotic and legendary gear he’s brought for the weekend of June 14, 2025.

Where is Xur?
This weekend,Destiny 2players can find Xur back inside the Tower hangar.
From the default landing zone, immediately head to the left and following the path down into the Hangar. After entering the hangar, head left again past Arach Jalaal and his Dead Orbit crew and up a metal stair case. Xur is standing on a metal platform at the back of this room overlooking the mountain ranges below.

Class Armor and Exotic Cipher
Xur’s role continues to offer the usual weekly quests, exotics, and legendary gear. Not only are these quests required to purchase a second fated engram, but they’re necessary toacquire legacy exotic gear from the Tower kiosk. Players can earn a new cipher by completing strikes and winning crucible or gambit matches. Gain bonus points for playing with clan mates or finishing more challenging activities.
Xur continues to sell even more gear outside his usual content. In addition to his normal exotic gear, Xur now has Legendary Weapons and Armor for sale in exchange for Legendary Shards and Glimmer.

Exotic Armor
Phoenix Protocol - Warlock chest armor
The solar specific Phoenix Protocol is back with Xur this week. Battle-Hearth gives Dawnblade Warlocks a return on super energy for any kills or assists they make while standing inside the Well of Radiance.

While certainly not a meta exotic at this point, Phoenix does have its uses for super generation and may be worth a look for the upcoming Grandmaster Nightfalls next week on January 17. Unfortunately, the roll is a bit underwhelming as it places a strange emphasis on Mobility instead of the other values that have a bigger impact on Warlocks.
Solar Enhanced. Stat Values:
Orpheus Rig - Hunter leg armor
Orpheus Rig remains a solid exotic for Nightstalker Hunters, even afterBungie’s nerf to super generating gear in the Season of the Worthy update. Considering how strong they were, Bungie limited the item’s potential for super gain, placing a limit on the amount of super that can be gained after using Shadowshot to a maximum of 50%.

Even with the nerf, Orpheus is still one of the better Nightstalker specific exotics, especially for tether super users. Uncanny Arrows enhances the Shadowshot super ability by giving players ability energy for each enemy tethered by Deadfall anchors. For those using Moebius Quiver, they can take one additional shot than they’d otherwise have. The roll is the lowest of the three this week, but still worth picking up for those who don’t yet have these.
Arc Enhanced. Stat Values:
ACD/0 Feedback Fence- Titan gauntlets
The intrinsic perk called Fury Conductors build energy when getting melee kills. Being hit by a melee attack not only reduces incoming damage and unleashes the currently stored energy in an explosion.
It may not be the best available Titan exotic, it certainly has its moments in specific activities like the Crucible. Getting punched and causing small explosions is a powerful, fun, and destructive ability to have. The roll this week is decent coming in at 62, but certainly nothing to write home about with a high in Intellect, a stat that typically isn’t very valuable for Titans.
Exotic Weapon
After a lengthy period of time away, the SUROS Regime auto rifle is back again. Its perk is SUROS Legacy, which gives half of the current ammo magazine bonus damage as well as giving a chance to regenerate health after a kill. However, the gun features a second perk that lets players pick what kind of weapon they want to use. Spinning Up increases the rate of fire when the trigger is held down. On the other hand, Dual Speed Receiver slows down the rate of fire and increases the damage when the player aims down the sights.
Overall, the SUROS is a solid and reliable auto rifle, but probably not a weapon at the top of most people’s lists at the moment.
Additional perks:
Since Season 16 removed the Presage and Harbinger exotic missions,Xur is also selling both Hawkmoon and Dead Man’s Tale with randomized rolls. Players should visit him each weekend as he’ll be carrying different rolls.
Hawkmoon Rolls:
Dead Man’s Tale
