Destiny 2players are requesting a rework of a popular Titan exotic since its potential with the Void 3.0 subclass is seemingly untapped. The recent Lightfall expansion forDestiny 2introduced customizable loadouts and several new weapons, allowing players to further build into their power fantasy with a variety of Light and Darkness subclass abilities.
Year 5 ofDestiny 2featuredThe Witch Queenexpansion, multiple seasons, and the introduction of revamped Light subclasses. These reworked subclasses would be known as Void 3.0, Solar 3.0, and Arc 3.0, which all utilize the subclass structure of customization introduced by Stasis in the Beyond Light expansion.Destiny 2: Lightfallkicked off Year 6 with new Strand subclasses, granting players telekinetic powers that warp and unravel enemies on Neomuna. The introduction of Strand is causing some players to rethink their loadouts for Light subclasses, and a particular Titan Exotic may need some work to bring it up to par with other powerful Exotics.

A recent Reddit post by SuperAzn727 is calling for Bungie to rework the iconic Helm of Saint-14 Titan Exotic armor piece, and fellowDestiny 2players are requesting several changes to the Exotic as well. The user proposes that the Helm of Saint-14 should make enemies volatile once they step into a Titan’s Ward of Dawn, making them explode with Void energy once killed. This change would make the Titan Exotic helm synergize withcurrent Void 3.0 buildsthat players are using inDestiny 2while strengthening the Exotic for use in current Lightfall content. In addition, players suggest a rework where Helm of Saint-14 synergizes with shotguns and glaives to extend Ward of Dawn’s duration or grant bonus melee energy.
Currently, the Helm of Saint-14 Titan Exotic blinds enemies while granting allies an over shield. Guarding with Sentinel Shield also blinds targets, but the Exotic helm excels while inside the Titan’s Void bubble. However,Destiny 2players appear to prefer Doom Fang Pauldron and Peregrine Greaves while using a Void Titan due to additional energy regeneration and bonus damage.
A rework of Helm of Saint-14 may be able to increase the helm’s number of use cases in the currentDestiny 2meta. If these proposed changes were introduced, moreDestiny 2players may be encouraged to use the helm with a really fun Void Titan loadout. A revised Helm of Saint-14 may even become one ofthe best Exotics for Titansonce more.
Ultimately, it’s up to Bungie to enact changes to the Helm of Saint-14 Exotic, and extensive testing may be needed to ensure the helm works properly in the current sandbox.Destiny 2fans should continue to voice their opinions about Helm of Saint-14’s potential sinceBungie revisits Exotics for fixes, tuning, and adjustments from time to time.
Destiny 2is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
