Controlled Burn and Firefly are the go-to damage-dealing choices for the Runaway. Her ability to set not only opponents on fire but ranks on fire is something no other hero can duplicate. With Ransack, she can pull an enemy into a flame. To counteract her own movement forward, use Run And Hide to stay off of the front lines.

Smokescreen is a guaranteed combo generation point which can set up either the Runaway herself or another teammate. This canraise the Affinity level with her allies. This combination of abilities will verify she fits into any party composition.
Path
Survivor boosts the Runaway’s healing and takes away her burn damage; she’s an awful healer and this build wisely discards her niche lone healing ability. Orphan is a good choice for this build since it sacrifices raw damage for flame damage but the max health penalty is a bit steep.
Arsonist takes away a bit of the Runaway’s nearly non-existent static damage numbers and gives her more fire damage and critical hit chance with flame skills. Withfully-upgraded skills, the Runaway can stack up burn damage so high that it feels like she’s delivering a huge blow in each round without ever using an ability.
Trinkets
With raw damage unnecessary, the only drawback to the Knitted Blanket is negligible for this build. The tradeoff is 33% extra fire damage and a doubling of fire damage resistance. This unique trinket alone can make the Runaway one ofthe best heroes in the game.

There are several interesting choices for a second trinket. The extra stack of flame from Snappy Swig is a great option as it will virtually ensure that the Runaway can keep an entire group on fire for the entire battle. But anything that helps with healing or stress is also welcome.
Combat Item
A great Plague Doctor buildcan help with things like damage and stress but the bulk of a healer’s output needs to go to the tanks. The Runaway should be able to heal herself and this will be much easier if she’s got a combat item that can handle these needs.
Combat items are hard to guarantee and get used up quickly, so if Mineral-Rich Spring Water isn’t around, take anything that helps out with healing and stress. The Runaway is a solid hero so long as she doesn’t require a babysitter to keep her from death.
