A Twitter user by the name of Kevin Fagaragan found a small Easter egg after beating the game with 106 percent completion. If the player goes up to the TV in the first level and cycles through the different channels that featuremainlineCrash Bandicootgame titles, a small image will appear briefly before going out. This image appears to be a piece of Wumpa Fruit, found throughout the game, encased in a blue-and-orange circular outline.
This image could signify a lot of things, but so far the popular theory seems to be that it could be a tease forCrash Bandicoot 5, considering it appears after going through eachCrash Bandicootgame logo. The fact that players have to completing the entire game, beating every single oneCrash Bandicoot 4’shardest levelsjust to get to this image, does seem to point to the development of a new game.
Whether the image actually points to anything substantial remains to be seen, and should be taken with a grain of salt. Outside of another mainline installment, this could potentially point to another remake or remaster. The recent remake ofCrash Team Racingresonated with a number of old school fans, and with so many games in theCrash Bandicootlibrary it seems possible.
In any case, fans of the series will just have to wait to find out more. Even if this does point to a new game, it could take time for the game to release, let alone be unveiled. It took two years forCrash Bandicoot 4to be revealed afterThe N. Sane Trilogywas ported to every other major system. There are a number ofobscureCrash Bandicootgamesthat could potentially get remastered too.
