Call of Duty: Modern Warfareis set to launch in a few weeks time across PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Since the game appears to be quite graphically intensive, some PC players may need to ensure that their rig can run it. Luckily, Activision has released theCall of Duty: Modern WarfarePC specs, letting players know the minimum and recommend requirements necessary to play the latestCall of Dutygame.

One of the most striking things about theCall of Duty: Modern WarfarePC specsis the ridiculous amount of storage space required for the game. Anyone who plans on picking upCall of Duty: Modern Warfareon PC will need to have a whopping 175GB of free space available if they want to install the game. Considering the game’s high quality graphics and the sheer amount of content that will be available, this huge storage space requirement isn’t all that surprising, but it may still come as a shock to some.

Here are theCall of Duty: Modern WarfarePC minimum and recommended PC specs.

Minimum Requirements

Call of Duty: Modern Warfarelooks to be delivering quite a bit of content for FPS fans, so some may have expected the huge storage space requirement.Call of Duty: Modern Warfarebasically has three distinct experiences in the package, including a campaign withfan favorite characters like Captain Price, the standardCall of Dutymultiplayer mode, and the return of the Spec Ops co-op mode. However, Infinity Ward has expanded both multiplayer and Spec Ops to be much bigger in scope than they ever were before.

For example,Call of Duty: Modern Warfaremultiplayer now has the old-school multiplayer experience on top of the 2v2 Gunfight mode and the32v32 Ground War mode. Spec Ops, meanwhile, has two different versions for everyone to try at launch. Operations sees teams of four work together to complete objectives and take down targets, where as Missions provide a more familiar Spec Ops experience for fans of the older games.

It’s worth pointing out thatCall of Duty: Modern Warfareon PC won’t even have the full experience, asSpec Ops Survival is a PS4 exclusivefor an entire year. It’s possible that the storage space requirement takes that content into account as well, though we can’t know for sure at this time. Meanwhile, it will be interesting to see what theCall of Duty: Modern Warfarefile size ends up being on consoles, and if it will be comparable to the PC version.
