Activision confirmed not too long ago that the 2022Call of Dutygame would be asequel toModern Warfaredeveloped by Infinity Ward, and now it’s confirmed more details. The 2022Call of Dutygame title has been officially revealed alongside a new logo.
As previously leaked, the 2022Call of Dutygame is titledCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The hashtag posted with the original post writes it asModern Warfare 2, but the officialCall of DutyTwitter account has hashtags that use Roman numerals as well. It was previously reported thatCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2would be titledModern Warfare IIwith Roman numeralsto differentiate itself from the 2009MW2, and if the logo is any indication, it seems those reports were correct.

Regardless, thisCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2reveal is coming pretty early in the year for aCall of Dutygame, as recent entries have waited until the end of the summer to announce their titles and other details.
It’s possible that the mixed reaction toCall of Duty: Vanguardand thebacklash to theCall of Duty: WarzonePacific mapis fueling Activision’s desire to promote this year’sCall of Dutygame way ahead of schedule. And since we already have a logo and title, one would think that a proper gameplay reveal will come sooner rather than later. It wouldn’t be surprising if fans get their first glimpse ofCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2gameplay much earlier than they sawCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold WarandVanguard.
Of course,Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2is only one half of the equation when it comes toCall of Duty’s 2022 plans. It was previously confirmed that anewCall of Duty: Warzoneexperienceis being built alongsideModern Warfare 2, though it hasn’t been confirmed if it will actually be launching this year or just shown off.Call of Dutyfans will have to wait for more information on that front.
Whenever Activision decides to reveal of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, it will be interesting to see if the rumors about the game turn out to be accurate. Rumors claim thatCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2will have a new game mode that’s been compared toEscape from Tarkovand that it will includemajor Gunsmith changes, but all that remains to be seen.
