Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madnesswill feature many familiar characters from past Marvel films, even ones from outside the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but there is one that many are overlooking, and that is Bruce Campbell’s. The actor has now teased that he shot a cameo with a fan-favorite Marvel character for the sequel.

It’s not surprising that theEvil Deadactor will be included in the upcoming MCU film, asdirector Sam Raimi will be helming the project. The two both grew up in Royal Oak, Michigan, and have been friends since their high school days, eventually going on to collaborate on many films such as theEvil Deadfranchise and Raimi’sSpider-Mantrilogy, where Campbell had a cameo in each of those three films.

According to a Reddit user, who got the chance to meet up with the actor and talk about the long-awaited sequel, Campbell will indeed be inDoctor Strange 2, and his cameo will be an exciting one. “I did a cool scene with a character that’s been beloved for years, and… we’ll have to see what ends up in the movie. I don’t know if it’s still in there. It’s a pretty cool part,” Campbell shared. Campbell also revealed that while his cameo will be included, he is still unsure as to what other footage they shot will make it into the final cut. “The deal with Doctor Strange is interesting.A majority ofDoctor Strange 2was reshotextensively, so I have no idea what’s in there and what isn’t.”

Which character Campbell is referring to is still unclear. Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange is an obvious guess, considering he has now been working with Marvel Studios for six years and has cemented himself as a fan-favorite character. But withDoctor Strange 2set to have a wide array of heroes and villains show up, whether that includesRyan Reynolds' Deadpool, Fox’s Fantastic Four and the X-Men groups, or perhaps a comic book character who is set to make their live-action debut, fans will just have to wait and see who Campbell is talking about once the film releases in a couple of months.

What is confirmed is that the film will take place after the events ofSpider-Man: No Way HomeandLoki’sfirst season and will follow Doctor Strange through alternate realities of the multiverse, where the sorcerer is forced to make new allies to defeat new deadly threats. Joining Campbell and Cumberbatch in the film will beElizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo, Xochitl Gomez as America Chavez, Benedict Wong as Wong, and Rachel McAdams as Christine Palmer.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madnesswill be released in theaters on August 07, 2025.
