During Microsoft and Bethesda’s E3 showcase earlier today, the two publishers revealed brand new details on an array of huge projects, including Luis Antonio’s time-bending thriller,12 Minutes. Alongside a short new trailer teasing the game’s surreal time looping story, publisherAnnapurna Interactiverevealed exactly when players will be able to get their hands on it, confirming it’ll hit PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on August 19.

Clocking in at just 40 seconds, the new footage drives home that12 Minuteswill be a surreal, mind-bending experience. It’s a brief but compelling insight into the cryptic adventure, sowing the seeds for the game’s core mystery as well as shining a light on its star-studded cast of vocal talent.

12 Minutesshowed up earlier this week during the Tribeca Games Stream, with the title being in the running for the seminal festival’s inaugural Games Award. During the early look at the game, Luis Antonio explained the drive behind his work on the innovative indie title, talking about branching narratives and the story potential that emerges from time loops.

The clip also featured interviews with the game’s two leads: Daisy Ridley and James McAvoy. TheStar WarsandX-Menstars highlighted their favorite parts about the ambitious project, discussing the challenge of conveying emotion through characters that never show their faces and how every player tuning into12 Minuteswill have a unique experience.

As for the rest of Microsoft and Bethesda’s conference, the two publishers offered new looks at a lot of upcoming projects, includingHalo Infinite, Forza Horizon 5, A Plague Tale: Requiem,and a new open-world multiplayer shooter from Arkane Studios known asRedfall.

The latter was the final announcement of the showcase, offering a cinematic first-look at a world in which a horde of bloodthirsty vampires has taken over the town of Redfall, Massachusetts. The game is slated to launch next year and will be an exclusive for the Xbox Series X/S and PC. Much like12 Minutes, it’ll hit Game Pass the day it launches.
